About This Work

Composer:  K.L. Hoffman

Description: "The Dream", based on the poem of the same name by Edna St. Vincent Millay, is a melancholy remembrance of a dream; the music features sweeping, Romantic melodies, stark and bitter pangs, and is meant to evoke the all-too-familiar sting of lost love. The piece was debuted and written for the Mark Moffett GLBT Music Scholarship concert and performed by the OSU Men's Glee Club, Matt Ebright, piano and Dr. Timothy Sarsany, director. Partnered with "Ebb," "The Dream" makes a beautiful addition to any concert program.
